Begun under the banner of a local church, SOAR has grown to be its own 501c3 non-profit.

Our Leagues

Currently SOAR Columbia offers youth recreational soccer, flag football, baseball and sideline cheer as well as Adult Soccer and Men’s Basketball. Players of all skills are welcomed.

Youth Soccer 

Our most popular league, youth soccer brings together over 730+ youth from Irmo, Lexington, Columbia and Chapin. We have 2 seasons of soccer offered once in the early Spring and once in early Fall.  REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.

Youth Baseball

We are now over 370 players in our baseball league and growing. We offer Tball, Coaches Pitch and Kids pitch divisions now in the early Summer and in the Fall. REGISTRATION is now open.

Youth Flag Football

This is for children (boys and girls) in grades K5-8th. We have over 220 players in the league. Practices are held once a week and teams play their games on Saturdays. Flag Football is offered in the early Summer and in the Fall. REGISTRATION is now open.

Adult Soccer

Adult soccer meets on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays offering a family-friendly but competitive recreation league.   Ages 30+, A and B divisions and our 45+ division.

YOUTH CHEERLEADING

REGISTRATION is open now. This is our newest youth sport league offering available to girls in grades K5-6th.

Adult basketball

We take 10 teams per season and teams play on Sunday nights at 5, 6, 7 or 8:00 pm at Right Direction Church International. Cost is $75.00/player. REGISTRATION IS CLOSED. Next season will be in the Fall and registration will open over the Summer.

As SOAR Columbia continues to grow we need your support.  Whether a local parent, church leader, community leader or business owner, there's a place for you to come alongside of SOAR and see lives changed in our community.  

Volunteer to be a COACH

While we do not require our players to be Christian, we do require our coaches to be members in a local church, able to speak about their faith, impart sports skills and share life-lessons on the field.  If you fit this criterion and would like to take part in Coach training, let us know.
